Near the end of Act One of Macbeth, Macbeth declares that he will proceed no further in the business of killing Duncan. Analyze Lady Macbeth's response to this declaration. What tactics does she use to persuade him? What is that finally persuades him? What do you think of Lady Macbeth as a person and as persuasive person? Lady Macbeth calls Macbeth a coward and questions his manhood. She makes a plan and all he has to do is follow it. A thing that gets him to do it is that Macbeth says she must father boys instead girls due to her aggressive and dominant traits. Lady Macbeth is an evil and tricky character. She wants to jump at any chance of becoming powerful and wants to become queen.
