The role of a hero

In Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, the writer focuses much of the narrative on honor. In what ways is Gawain honorable? What do you feel was Gawain's most redeeming trait? Why? (The deadline to post a response to this question is midnight, Tuesday, September 24, 2013.)

Chaw aim was honorable because he was willing to take the challenge presented by the green knight in place of Gawains king. Gawains best trait I think is the ability to resist the women trying to seduce him no matter how hard she tried. PR1

I think Gawain showed extreme honor when he took the green knights challange instead of his king because he knew if the king died it would be more devasting to the people. Gawains most redeeming trait in my opinion is his ability to admit his wrongs.
