Fair is foul and foul is fair...

So much of the story and moral of The Tragedy of Macbeth is based upon appearance versus reality.  Other than the character of Macbeth himself, what is something or someone you have noticed as not what is seems to be?  Explain how Shakespeare is using this element in his play to enhance the storyline. (The deadline to post a response to this blog question is midnight Thursday, March 29, 2012.)

I think Lady Macbeth isn't what she seems to be. At first, she seemed to be cruel, evil, and in charge. Now, after everything has happened, she seems to be the more modest one. She wants Macbeth to stop with all the murders and believes they let things get too far.

I think Lady Macbeth might actually start to feel regret for the things she has done. I believe Shakespeare is trying to show that how strong you think you are that you can always falter in your ways.

I blieve Lady Macbeth isn't who she seems to be. In front of certain people she acts sweet and innocent. She talks with a innocent voice like she is not guilty for anything that is going on. When she is in front of Macbeth it is all a different story. She is demanding and mean to Macbeth. With all that being said I believe Lady Macbeth isn't who she really seems to be.

At first Lady Macbeth was very evil. She was the reason Macbeth started killing. She even said she did not feel guilty about the murders. Then by the end she was feeling remorse. I think Shakespeare used this element to draw the storyline out and to make the climax bigger, like Macbeth just kept killing more people after he decived everyone after the first three murders.
