Don't shake your gory locks at me...

Today, in Act III, Macbeth was visited by Banquo's ghost.  Does he deserve to be haunted with fear and paranoia or is he an innocent victim of the witches and his wife's manipulation?  Explain.  (The deadline to post a response is midnight Wednesday, March 28, 2012.)

I think that Macbeth deserves to be haunted with fear and paranoia. He put this upon himself, he should of been a strong man for his wife but instead he wants to go by what people say and let it get to him. I don't think he was innocent at all, to kill your best friend over something like to be king is a little overboard. He didn't think about anybody but himself and for that he should drive himself crazy.

I think that Macbeth deserves everything that has been happening to him. A lot of karma is about to take place. He should have never killed Duncan. Now he has a taste for blood and can't get rid of it.

Macbeth deserves everything he receives. In the end he knew better then to kill for power. It takes a truly good-hearted person to rise above temptation.

I think Macbeth should be haunted by a ghost and have to live with fear for killing Duncan. No one should be able to kill someone and not have fear or guilt for doing it. I don't think he is a victim of his wife or the witches because he didn't have to kill Duncan. He made that chose on his own to kill Duncan. Yes, the witches and his wife helped put it in his head, but in the end he made the chose to do it.
