Let me tell a tale ...

We have read "The Pardoner's Tale" and "The Wife of Bath's Tale."  Which of the stories do you think is better?  Why?  (The deadline to post a response to this blog is midnight Friday, February 10, 2012.)

I believe the Pardoners tale was better than the Wife of Baths. I felt this way because the Pardoners tale taught that you shouldn't be greedy. The three men died because they all wanted the money for themselves, instead of splitting it and being satisfied. It was very well written and I believe in portrayed the Pardoners character perfectly. On the contrary, the Wife of Baths tale taught me that no wrong doing ever goes unpunished. Unless of course, your punishment is a fairy woman, that can make herself beautiful. Which by all means, isn't the case today. I think the story portrayed the Wife of Bath exactly as her character is, but did not teach as good a lesson as the Pardoners tale.

I think the Pardoner's Tale was better because it teaches a better lesson. I teaches people not to be greedy. I teaches that greed is the root of all evil.

I think the Pardoner's story was better because it teaches a much better lesson. Today there are very many greedy people. I think that is one of the worst things you can be. This story teaches about how greed gets a hold of people and makes them do crazy things.

I think Wife of Bath Tale was better because of how the Knight found out what most girls really want. Even though I liked the Pardoner's Tale because how the people were so greedy.
